The supply of plant fertilizer through the roots is the main way of fertilization. In addition, there are also methods of using foliar spray liquid fertilizer to directly promote the growth of rose flowers, especially when the soil conditions are not conducive to the growth of rose flowers. This method can achieve significant results.

After foliar fertilization, the plant branches increased, the volume increased, the body was strong, the disease resistance was strengthened, the flowering number increased by 20 % to 30 %, and the flower color was also more beautiful: especially in the early spring, the temperature was low, and the plant had not yet obtained sufficient nitrogen fertilizer from the soil. When using foliar fertilization, the effect is more pronounced. However, it should be noted that this method can only play a supporting role and cannot replace conventional soil fertilization.

Foliar fertilization is a method in which fertilizer dissolved in water passes through the pores on the leaves or the stratum corneum on the leaves, and gradually penetrates into the leaves to act on the plants. Therefore, ensuring the smooth entry of fertilizer into the leaves is the key to foliar fertilization. Pay attention to the following points when applying:

1 Not any fertilizer can be used for foliar fertilization. Only inorganic fertilizers with good solubility, such as commonly used urea, sulfuric acid hinge, ammonium nitrate, potassium chloride, superphosphate, etc., can be used.

2 It is advisable to carry out the morning and evening at low temperature, high humidity and no wind, so that the fertilizer can fully penetrate into the leaf surface and remain untouched for about 1 hour, so that the fertilizer can fully penetrate into the inside of the blade.

3 The young leaves absorb faster than the old leaves, and the leaf back absorbs faster than the leaf surface. When fertilizing, pay attention to the canopy and leaf back of the plant.

4 can be sprayed together with insecticides and fungicides to achieve the dual effects of supplying nutrients and controlling pests and diseases.

5 The fertilizer used should be pre-soaked before spraying to make it fully soluble. It is necessary to filter out impurities and sediments. The speed of fertilizer entering the blade is related to the concentration of fertilizer and water. The lighter and easier it is, the lower the fertilizer efficiency will be. It should be diluted by 100 times or more by weight .

6 In order to make the fertilizer liquid adhere to the leaf surface ( especially the leaf back ) , it is better to spray it with a fine-poor watering can with a good atomization degree. (Autumn)
