The high-profile acquisition of Huarui Wind Power and other complete machine manufacturers and third-party operation and maintenance companies has attracted the attention of the wind power operation and maintenance market.

Expand the operation and maintenance market

Taking Huarui Wind Power as an example, after it completed the reelection of the board of directors in February 2015 to form a new leadership team, it clearly adjusted its development strategy: while vigorously developing the whole machine business, wind power operation and maintenance was used as a breakthrough to support the development of the company.

According to a reporter from the China Lifeline Wind Power Group, the "Securities Daily" reporter said that "the company not only issued an official letter to all the owners who used the Sinovel Wind Turbine, but also made it a clear commitment that all the wind turbines produced by Sinovel should bear the responsibility and solve the problems properly. It also requires all wind farms to comprehensively sort out the existing problems and provide corresponding solutions."

In addition, it is understood that beginning in April of this year, the middle-level leaders of Sinovel Wind Power Co., Ltd. have conducted in-depth wind farms to understand the current status of wind farm maintenance and problems. “The new leadership team of Huarui Wind Power placed the first place in operation and maintenance. They hope to solve the problem and make owners regain confidence in Sinovel Wind Power, restore normal market relations, and make Huaruo slowly enter wind power. It is understood that currently, the total installed capacity of Sinovel Wind Power is approximately 15 million kilowatts, of which approximately 12 million kilowatts are still in the warranty period, accounting for 80% of the total.

For equipment that does not have a warranty period, Huarui Wind Power has made a commitment, in addition to technical support, service continuity, and even support equipment upgrades.

For example, for wind turbines within the warranty period, Sinovel Wind Power will assist owners to increase power generation efficiency, increase power generation, and improve the soundness rate. In order to reduce the operating costs of wind farms for customers, the operational quality of wind turbines has increased, and Sinopec has also made many attempts in wind power operation and maintenance.

In June 2015, Huarui Wind Power proposed the “Sinowind Wind Power New Technology, New Products, New Service Promotion and Cooperation and Exchange Conference” held in Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, which will further refine the on-site service standards and improve the customer management system. With the group customer service department as the core, we integrated the advantages of the group's technical service department, the Group's operation and maintenance engineering department and regional companies to provide comprehensive support for on-site services and form a two-way feedback and responsive customer service process. At the same time, through the management of wind farm geographical information, historical data analysis of the unit, unit maintenance management and business statistics reports, etc. The realization will eventually transform the passive troubleshooting services into planned and preventive equipment maintenance services to create a personalized and intelligent wind power operation and maintenance service system for customers."

Regarding the future expectations of wind power operation and maintenance services, Sinovel Wind Power made clear requirements. In September 2015, it is necessary to ensure that the on-site materials are basically guaranteed and the overall service capacity meets the normal service level of the domestic industry; by December 2015, it is important to The on-site failure rate will be reduced by another 30% on the current basis, and the overall service capability will reach the domestic advanced level.

According to another understanding, in order to further improve the technical protection, on-site protection and material protection of wind power operation and maintenance, Sinovel Wind Power will register and establish a wholly-owned operation and maintenance subsidiary, taking advantage of the large amount of wind turbines in stock, and overcoming difficulties to take wind power operation and maintenance as Huarui Wind Power's new profit growth point.
