Apple seedlings should pay attention to six points

First, the fast-growing rootstock of sea bream and sea bream are more resistant to cold, drought, sputum, salt and alkali. The grafting affinity with apple is strong, the root system is developed, and the seedling grows rapidly. In the summer, the grafting thickness can be reached.

Second, grasp the appropriate seedling time to use autumn sowing, immediately after sowing film, spring sowing should be planted early. In this way, early emergence and early growth can be achieved, and the number of growth days in the early stage can be extended to achieve the purpose of early grafting and seedling formation in the same year.

Third, take protective measures in the early spring should be good cold, moisturizing and other measures. Common protective measures include cold wind barrier, impotence, hotbed, and plastic film covering. The mulch film is covered with a shed film to cover the seedling bed, and then transplanted to the open field for grafting. This method can be advanced in the sowing period, but it must be waited until the night frost has passed before transplanting. Otherwise, grafting should be taken to protect the graft. In order to solve this contradiction, the double-film cover of live seedlings is often used in production, but the cost is high.

Fourth, early picking, early grafting When the anvil seedling grows to about 30 cm, it can be topped to promote its thickening; when the base diameter is 0.5-0.6 cm, it can be grafted and finished before the end of June. Only in this way, grafted seedlings have a longer growth time.

Fifth, take high-position buds measures, do not cut and paste immediately after the high-position buds survive, but the knives will not be broken at 1~2 cm above the buds, which will cause the buds to sprout, and the buds will grow to 5-6 pieces of true leaves. Then cut the anvil. In addition, the grafting site is raised, and 5 to 7 functional leaves are left under the bud to supply the nutrients needed for the buds, and the anvil can be cut after the buds are alive. Sixth, strengthen the management of fertilizer and water, choose fertile plots for nursery, and increase the amount of fertilizer applied. Before the seedlings are grafted, 10 to 15 kilograms of urea per acre of fertilizer is combined with watering; after grafting, 8 to 10 kilograms of urea per acre is applied; in early August and early September, each compound fertilizer is applied per acre. 10 kg, foliar spray fertilizer once every 15 days, spray 300 times of urea in the early stage, and spray 300 times of potassium dihydrogen phosphate in the later stage.
