According to US media Edmunds news on May 6, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently said that due to the failure of the seat belt bolts, Mercedes-Benz will recall 272 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-class vehicles in the United States, including the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL3. AMG, GL350 Blue Tec, GL450 4Matic and GL550 4Matic.

NHTSA pointed out in the problem review that "the seat belt bolts of the second row of seats are not tightened. In the event of a crash, the loose seat belts do not protect the passengers well, thus increasing the risk of injury."

Mercedes-Benz parent company Daimler said that the vehicle must be inspected before delivery, which is a necessary procedure for factory quality inspection. During the inspection, it was found that the seat belt bolts of the second row of seats of a car were not tightened enough.

The above-mentioned vehicles with hidden dangers were produced from May 15, 2012 to October 4, 2012.

Mercedes dealers will solve the problem by tightening the seat belt bolt parts. The recall is expected to begin in May.
